GIS – Software Architect

We are looking for a GIS software architect for our office in Tirana for the conception of further developments, especially in our infrastructure projects. This is a position with a 40h week. Your area of responsibility:
- Conception and further development of our WebGIS solutions
- Provision of our WebGIS solutions
- Creation of sophisticated GIS queries within the scope of our projects
- Preparation, analysis, and visualization of a wide variety of data with a focus on geodata
- Automation of quality and plausibility checks of geodata
- Support for Big Data and AI projects
- Consulting for customers
What you bring with you:
- Sound professional experience desired
- Knowledge of Python ([geo]pandas, Jupyter) and SQL (Postgres/PostGIS).
- Knowledge of open source GIS applications (QGIS, Geonode, and Geoserver).
- Knowledge in creating data pipelines (e.g. with Airflow) as well as in AI and ML (TensorFlow & Keras) desirable
- Initial knowledge in the use of municipal geodata.
- Knowledge in theories of data visualization with a focus on cartographic products
- Knowledge of git and agile processes a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- You have analytical thinking skills, an independent way of working as well as initiative
- Very good knowledge of English (German is a plus)
